4/16/2010 - 4/17/2010: 2010 IAM conference

The next Idaho Association of Museums conference will be held in Nampa on April 16-17, 2010. We're looking forward to another great opportunity to learn new skills and exchange ideas. This will also be a chance to visit a dynamic community that is building upon its historical past.

Our host will be the Canyon County Historical Museum, and director Wendy Miller is planning special tours of the impressive Union Pacific Depot, which houses the museum, and a walking tour of the downtown where businesses have restored many historic facades. Nampa received an Esto Perpetua award in 2009 from the Idaho State Historical Society for its excellent preservation efforts.

The conference dates are April 16 and 17, with a full session scheduled for Friday and morning sessions on Saturday the 17th. Now is the time to mark these dates off in your calendar and plan to meet your museum colleagues and friends in Nampa!
